RPG Quest sent to AppWorld (Z10, Q10 and Q5)

I’m very proud to announce a new free game for the BlackBerry Z10, Q10 and Q5 devices.

 

What is it?

Disclaimer:  This is quite possibly the least useful RPG you will ever sideload.

RPG Quest is a self-playing RPG made much like Progress Quest.  Well, what is progress quest?  Its considered a 0 player game.

The RPG is unique in that the game automatically picks a class, automatically picks a name, and starts questing on its own!

What makes the game fun in my humble opinion is the Active Tiles.  Because, I know very few people other than me will actually sit there with the game running full screen.  But when minimized to an active tile, the icon (seen in the top right) becomes the active screen showing the character as you go!

This game is terrible I don’t know what to do!

Thats right, you don’t do anything!  Ha!  It also reminds me of many MMORPG’s these days where the games play themselves and the users … well just observe and watch TV while their laptops play for them 🙂

In all honesty, once I have some free cycles, I will look at making a non-automated version of the game with some new features.  For now, this is just a funky proof of concept (its what I built into the localbar 2 for BB10 loading screen!).

It was a lot of fun to make up, so I hope someone out there enjoys it 🙂
